The Make-A-Wish Foundation
International Identities

In 1999, Luxon Carra developed a new identity for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, including a completely revised logotype and a brand management intranet site.

After the launch, the foundation came back to us with the unforeseen request for translated versions of the new logotype. Their international offices felt overlooked and, as a non-profit, keeping all the chapters and volunteers satisfied and enthusiastic was more essential than maintaining a single unified logo.

I took the swirl and star element, color, and type style of the original signature and adapted it to seven additional languages, creating versions that would continue to promote brand recognition, without threatening local missions and loyalty.
